The CMP 70HX is part of Nvidia's Cryptocurrency Mining Processor (CMP) lineup. The CMP 70HX is built on the 8 nm process, based on the GA104 graphics processor, and has 8 GB GDDR6X memory, which is connected using a 256-bit memory interface.

The GA104 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 392 mm² and 17,400 million transistors. It features 6144 shading units, 192 texture mapping units, and 96 ROPs. Also included are 192 tensor cores which help improve the speed of machine learning applications. The card also has 48 raytracing acceleration cores. It also is used in the RTX 3060 and RTX 3070.
