KHeavyhash is a custom-built algorithm designed specifically for Kaspa (KAS) mining. The KHeavyhash procedure involves matrix multiplication positioned between a pair of conventional Keccak hashes, commonly known as SHA-3. KHeavyhash is a core dominant mining algorithm that doesn't use much memory. It allows a dual mining of Kaspa and other cryptocurrencies that rely on memory-intensive mining algorithms.
KHeavyhash mining is designed in such a way that it does not depend on substantial GPU memory usage, making it possible for GPUs with less than 4GB of memory to effectively mine this cryptocurrency, thereby expanding the range of eligible mining hardware. Kaspa features an exceptionally rapid block generation rate, with a new block being created every single second, resulting in a significantly higher frequency of blocks compared to many other cryptocurrencies.
As of now, ASIC devices are usually used for KHeavyhash mining. The algorithm is not ASIC-protected.
Default mining profit is calculated for 300 Nvidia 3070 GPUs with total hashrate: 220.5 Gh/s on KHeavyHash
