In 2021, at the height of cryptocurrency mining, Nvidia released the Nvidia CMP 170HX. The Nvidia CMP 170HX runs on NVIDIA's GA100-105F GPU, a version based on the regular GA100 SXM design used in data-center applications, and has its full memory bandwidth of 1500 GB/s to prevent the GPU from being used for general computing, Nvidia further restricted its VRAM size to 8 GiB, limited its PCIe bandwidth to PCIe 1.0 x4 at 1 GB/s. It is powered by an 8-pin CPU power connector and draws about 250 Watts of power.

The reference design is manufactured by NVIDIA and has no active cooling, as it is meant to be cooled in high-density server racks. Its price at launch was $4299, making it a costly mining option.
